Team overview

Growth Marketing is the team responsible for driving new customer traffic to our website, by providing Hotels.com a global presence in the various performance marketing channels. Were looking for a motivated & experienced Senior Product Manager to take product ownership of our Search Engine Marketing (SEM) tools and their associated long-term strategy.

What you will do

In this role, you will have ownership of a large varied tooling portfolio which enables large-scale automation of core SEM marketing activities. As a charismatic & experienced product leader, youll motivate and lead/interface with multiple agile development teams to successfully deliver against your plans. Youll have the autonomy to think strategically and deliver real measurable value.

You wont be on your own youll collaborate with our SEM partners (including Google & Bing), SEM marketing team, other product functions, as well as technology leaders to ensure were moving in a common direction with all of our SEM platforms and tools. Youll be a natural communicator, prepared to influence each stakeholder group ensuring SEM marketing team have a clear voice at the table, all whilst managing expectations.

Youll also be responsible for leading Hotels.com SEM tooling product strategy in collaboration with other Expedia Group brands (including Expedia.com & HomeAway.com). Were working together to build platforms which solve problems at scale and youll be pivotal in executing strategies that helps Expedia Group become a leading marketing tooling marketplace.

With an amazing Technical Product Manager reporting directly into you, youll work with them to learn about the challenges faced in this fast paced growth marketing landscape; devising and delivering solutions that ensure Hotels.com get real bang for their buck when it comes to SEM.

You will be responsible for the product management of SEM marketing tooling, being responsible for a variety of business critical elements such as:
  • Defining and leading the SEM automation strategy at Hotels.com, working alongside the broader Growth Marketing team establishing everything from product vision to communication strategies
  • Lead the roadmap and facilitate regular planning sessions, keeping stakeholders regularly updated on progress
  • Identify and lead strategic projects that will find opportunities for the business to improve the sophistication, efficiency and execution of its SEM marketing
  • Collaborating with our key search engine partners, ensuring were the first to take advantage of opportunities handed to us
  • Handling trade-offs between cost, schedule, and business benefit, and ensure successful delivery of tools which meet your senior stakeholders long-term needs
  • Steering your stakeholders and gaining confidence in your ability to deliver product roadmaps on time, to a high quality
  • Partnering closely with senior technology leadership, to ensure our technology platforms are robust and aligned to meet your long-term product visions
  • Working closely with our data and other product functions, ensuring our data and tooling roadmaps are aligned
  • Being a visible advocate for your products evangelising deliveries and gaining stakeholder confidence in both product and tech abilities
  • Presenting strategy, progress, challenges, new product feature overviews etc. to stakeholders at a senior level
Who you are

Youll fit this role if you have
  • Extensive experience in a direct product management role
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to build and lead world-class marketing products, as well as handle conflicting product priorities across a large volume of partners & products
  • Previous experience within the SEM/marketing automation space very desirable
  • Comfortable with new technologies, and a passion to keep abreast with new tech
  • Highly organized and adept at prioritization - you can recognize and keep track of all the moving pieces in projects, adjusting to new information and goals
  • Track record as a self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward, as well as a desire to drive innovation across our business
  • Confidence presenting to and influencing senior group partners
  • Comfortable with a fast paced start up type culture where stakeholders have the highest of expectations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Familiarity with web-based product development a plus
  • Bachelor degree required; MBA is a plus
