We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated Product Owner for our Learning Products team within Thomson Reuters. We provide learning software solutions and services which provide expertise, relevant content and the highest-quality tools to ensure our customers are compliant and knowledgeable across the industries they serve.

As a Product Owner for our Learning Products team, you will work closely with Product Management, technology development and SaaS software suppliers to build and implement a product strategy and associated product release plan. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to build products across all the business segments within Thomson Reuters.
  • Take lead on Agile development teams as the Product Owner
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Ensure the development teams always have an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities
  • Assess value, develop cases and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new features
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Follow our competitors and the industry
  • Take personal responsibility to impact results, deliver on commitments, and reduce costs
  • Balance multiple and competing priorities, proactively assessing risks and dependencies
  • Establish and cultivate effective relationships across organizational boundaries
  • Develop and maintain project plans that are clear, complete, aligned with strategy and accurately estimate resource requirements
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner is a plus
