Position Summary

What will this role achieve?
  • Contribute to the development & implementation of the Product Strategy as it relates to our product lines in the UK
  • Communicate and live the priorities of product line, translating the vision and purpose of Samsung into actionable product plans

    Role and Responsibilities

    What will be your key deliverables?

    Product Strategy:
  • You will handle the Product Roadmap for the category in collaboration with Category Product Manager
  • Provide scenario planning to the Category Product Manager
  • Provide information that will guide channelisation, product lifecycle management and investment decisions in the category
Market Strategy:
  • Work with the category management and brand teams to ensure that consumer targets and activity are aligned
  • Provide information that allows the Category Product Manager to determine the £RRP of product lines
  • Ensure that segmentation is effective for products in the UK
  • Liaise with Market analysts to ensure that Category PM has a full understanding of the UK market
  • Provide recommendations on a monthly promotional plan that will guide the commercial teams priorities in terms of sell-in
  • Review and react to competitor strategy, communicating insights and actions to both UK and Korean HQ
Proposition:
  • Work with the Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams to develop an overall Value proposition in collaboration with the Category Product Manager
Forecasting:
  • Develop & manage a forecasting template that will assist in forecast setting across the business
Launch
  • Add to the advancement of the launch plan for new product
  • Lead the critical path that guides concept to launch process for product management

  • Demonstrate the priorities of the category through daily activities and aligning the SEUK business behind the priorities needed to win in the UK market
Essential Hard Skills:
  • Experience in Product Management
  • Proposition development & execution experience
  • Product Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitude
  • Good skills in Microsoft office packages
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation abilities
  • Strong numeracy/commercial acumen
  • Experience handling P&L, delivering profitability with low margins
