We want to build out our Product team by recruiting a Product Manager focused on ‘Retirement’ to build the world’s best retirement solution (why not aim big?!). We believe that the pensions industry is not working for customers and this is leading to uncertainty and fear about retirement. We’re on a mission to change this. We want to help people understand their pension(s), what their retirement could look like and be confident to build towards their retirement goals.
This is more important than ever. Auto-enrolment has proved very successful – now 25 million people in the UK have a pension. However, people do not think they are getting a good service from their pension provider – 84% feel that their pension provider doesn’t keep them informed, and 50% can’t even name their provider! This problem is only getting worse as people start new jobs and open new pension pots that they then can’t track of or interact with.
In this role you will have responsibility for delivering our ‘Retirement’ service. This will mean bringing new features to market, managing the product performance and prioritising and planning product improvements.
We’re looking for someone who is very analytical and great at problem solving. You will also be able to work well in a broad cross functional team, have a real interest in building a new way of delivering financial services and have very good attention to detail.
Product management experience is a bonus but not necessarily required – the right candidate could come from an area such as consultancy, business analysis, change management, accountancy or project management.
What you’ll do
Your mission is to build the world’s best retirement solution.
As part of the Product team you will own the product roadmap for ‘Retirement’– this means deciding what is on the roadmap, what we’re prioritising and then delivering effectively against this.
Work closely with a range of internal stakeholders, including insight and data, customer operations, marketing, user experience, compliance, and engineering.
Day-to-day you will analyse and gather product requirements, write and prioritise stories and manage the development team backlog.
Who you are

You have strong attention to detail and are able to deliver effectively against tight deadlines.
Sound judgment and business instinct with a desire to challenge traditional thinking.
You are commercially and technically minded – able to understand concepts and explain limitations between marketers and engineers, and work well with a broad range of teams.
Determined to succeed, high energy with humility and a strong personal drive.
Excited about working in Product Management for a ‘fintech’ company and, more specifically, for Moneybox.
Experience and skills
University educated with at least one degree, preferably in a technical subject.
5+ years experience in either Product Management or in a role that requires high level of analytical problem solving and attention to detail. This could include consultancy, business analysis, change management, accountancy or project management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of the general fundamentals of product management and core structural processes i.e. problem recognition, analysis, development, testing, development, retesting, launching etc.
Ability to encourage, motivate and develop a diverse group of people towards a challenging goal.
Great communication and listening skills.
